Radnor House Christmas Market
6th December 2019 - Radnor House Christmas Market

Amanda helped at the Radnor House mini Christmas Market where children were allowed to each come along and buy gifts for their friends and family from the various stalls available.

The charity stall raised a staggering £1343 which will be split across the charities the school are supporting this year. A big thank you to all at Radnor House for continuing to support us and to Amanda for her help on the day.

Lisa Christmas Tree
7th December 2019 - Lisa Christmas Tree

Every year, Lisa and her family hold a tree lighting celebration for their neighbours to light the christmas tree outside their home. They all come along wrapped up nice and warm with mugs ready for mulled wine and hot chocolate alongwith warm mince pies, cookies, brownies and various other Christmas bakes. One lucky person who has their name pulled out of the hat, gets to come and turn on our lights. This year, it was one of our youngest residents, almost 3 year old Theo. We had a really enjoyable evening and raised over £177 for Local Families with Bleeding Disorders

St. Michael's Montessori Nursery School
11th December 2019 - St. Michael's Montessori Nursery School Visit

St.Michael's Montessori in Barnes, south west London choose a charity or local group to support every year at their nativity show. Lisa was invited to attend the performance this year following a nomination for Local Families with Bleeding Disorders by Amanda and Duncan Neycessian-Keysell. Their son Raffy who is a severe haemophiliac attends the nursery. Lisa was asked to say a few words about the group and it's objectives. Following a very professional performance by 40 wonderful children, the hats were passed round to parents. They very kindly donated just over £300 to our group which will help us continue to fund events for our families. A big thank you to all who donated.

Aldwickbury Park Golf Club
19th December 2019 - Aldwickbury Park Golf Club official 2020 sponsor

Aldwickbury Park Golf Club will be one of our official sponsors for 2020. Helen Greensmith, retired haemophilia clinical nursing specialist, was one of the first people to initiate bringing families together in the London and south area. In many ways, it was her initial enthusiasm and commitment to the philosophy that families need the support of other families, that forms the foundation of what we now know as Local Families with Bleeding Disorders. Helen is the Lady Captain at the Aldwickbury Park Golf Club and had chosen us as her charity to sponsor for 2020. This is fantastic news and made all the more special by Helen's close relationship with many of our families from her nursing days including being the nurse to inform me of my sons bleeding disorder. Thank you Helen for your support and, we look forward to working with you over the coming year.
